Q: What website design and development technologies do you work with and/or specialize in?
A: Whiteboard can support any of the modern website design and development technologies, including: Adobe CS2 through the new Adobe CS5, CSS, RSS Feeds, HTML, XHMTL, Java, Flash, Ajax, ASP.NET, PHP, CMS, WordPress and many others.
Q: Who owns the website and all information within once complete?
A: Upon receipt and deposit of the final payment for the outlined and completed project, the customer owns all website, database, content, graphics and source code files. See our terms and conditions page for more specifics.
Q: Where can I get photos for my website?
A: You may either provide your own photos, ask Whiteboard about some recommended and trusted photographers to hire or go to www.istockphoto.com or www.gettyimages.com to choose and purchase royalty free, stock photos you wish to use. We can provide suggestions for what types and sizes of photos fit best for your website and business.
Q: Will my website or web application display properly across all web browsers?
A: No. Unfortunately all web browsers do not read code the same and some browsers are now considered outdated. Whiteboard, however, guarantees your website and web application will display consistent across all the major web browsers, including: Internet Explorer 6+, Firefox 2+, Google Chrome, Opera and Safari.
Q: Can I have the ability to maintain website content?
A: Yes. Whiteboard offers websites which can have dynamic and editable pages. Dynamic website content will require a content management solution, either through an individual editable module or a full-blown CMS website.
Q: If my website requires a database, can you maintain and optimize the database?
A: Yes. Whiteboard can design and develop database driven websites and optimize each for speedy display of results when queried. Are specialties lie within ASP.NET and PHP database driven websites.
Q: Can 3rd party tools and software be integrated into my website?
A: Yes. We can easily integrate most of the common 3rd party tools and software such as: Google Maps, Google Apps, RSS Feeds, Blogs (WordPress, Blogger, etc), CMS (Joomla, Drupal, DotNetNuke, etc), Email Marketing (Constant Contact, Mail Chimp, Campaign Monitor, etc), Payment Gateways (Authorize.net, PayPal, etc), and much more. Q: Can your firm perform updates to an existing website?
A: Yes. Whiteboard can update any website which is live. We provide back-up services to the existing files just in case, and then we perform the outlined changes/additions. We can even add existing website pages if needed. See our webmaster for hire page for more details.
Q: How do I send you my website revisions?
A: You may email us at support@whiteboardcreations.com to submit your website maintenance requests or call 704-966-9221 to leave a detailed voicemail for your requested website revisions. Whiteboard is currently developing a secure username and password driven customer “Project Management” portal for your convenience and our tracking of maintenance requests from our valued customers. Q: How long do I have to wait for my requested revisions to be completed?
A: Whiteboard typically handles minor website maintenance requests within 1-3 business days. More intensive requests for programming work may require more time and a Whiteboard representative will notify of any additional time needed. See our webmaster for hire page for more details.
Q: Do you require a contract for your website maintenance services?
A: No. Whiteboard understands not everything needs a contract. We provide ad hoc webmaster for hire services on a “per hour” basis as well as set pro-rated hourly packages for those sites requiring more attention. Visit our webmaster for hire page for more details.
Q: Can you optimize my website to increase my ranking in Google?
A: Yes. Not just Google though. Whiteboard offers search engine optimization packages to help increase your search engine page rank (SERP) within the major search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ask and others). We do, however, follow Google’s ranking protocol as it is the most strict, which in turn, creates a more search engine friendly website across the board. Q: How do search engines know about my website?

Q: How does an XML sitemap help my website?
A: XML sitemaps create a path for search engines to follow providing them access to index links, content, tags, web pages, etc to accurately have your website categorized under the keywords and keyword phrases which your potential customers are already searching.
Q: Why are links to and from my website so important to my rankings?
A: Links to and from external websites play a key role in your search engine optimization efforts as long as these links contain relevant information and remain popular in rankings too. A: No. Landing pages are certainly helpful in creating instant buzz for your business, products or services, but not needed for all PPC marketing campaigns. The search engine user wants access to your information about the keyword they are searched for, so directing them to a specific web page within your website with this information may be just as beneficial. Q: Can you set up my website on free online directories?
A: Yes. Whiteboard can provide social media services to create profiles within the most popular free online directories creating more backlinks to your website as well as expose your website to more avenues to be found.
Q: Can you help me with understand and setting up a Facebook page, Twitter account, YouTube channel and a LinkedIn profile?
A: Yes. Whiteboard would be glad to offer your services in setting up and maintaining your online profiles through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, MySpace and/or LinkedIn. Q: Can you submit news articles or press releases?
A: Yes. We can submit both if needed. Your news articles will be submitted through article distribution sites while your press releases get submitted through press release distribution sites helping to generate more traffic to your website. Q: Do you provide website hosting services?
A: Yes. We have a 3 website hosting packages determined by the type of website you hire Whiteboard to design and develop. We can also provide website hosting for websites which we did not design or develop. See our web and email hosting page for more particulars.
Q: Do you provide email hosting services?
A: Yes. We support email hosting as well. Whiteboard offers a minimum 10 unique email accounts per customer (includes alias and forwarding email accounts). Each email account will come with a minimum 1GB space. Visit our web and email hosting page for more information.
Q: How do I capture website visitor information?
A: Whiteboard websites will come with a minimum 1 online contact form, which your site visitors have the option to fill out and submit to you. Strong “Call to Action” statements throughout your website will create a desired path for your visitors to read/view more information or to have them contact you.
Q: Can you write text content for my website?
A: Yes. Whiteboard can develop simple website content to discuss the bare essentials of your business, up to thought provoking and direct response website content with powerful “Call to Action” statements. Q: What forms of payment do you accept for website design services?
